The Dallas Cowboys need to add a third receiver to replace Randall Cobb and there are some options in free agency. Here are the three most likely signings.

Last season, the Dallas Cowboys signed Randall Cobb to a one-year deal as a replacement for Cole Beasley. This came after Beasley, their long-time slot receiver, bolted for the Buffalo Bills, who gave him a multi-year deal.

Cobb played well enough in his role with Dallas to land a three-year, $27 million contract with the Houston Texans. The Cowboys were never matching that deal but that doesn’t mean they’re not going to continue to look for help at receiver.

There were whispers that they were interested in Emmanuel Sanders, but he too landed a contract that paid more than Dallas wanted to — $8 million per season for two years with the New Orleans Saints.

Since those rumors fell flat, the front office in Big D has been trying to get their defense situated in free agency. They’ve landed two defensive tackles in Dontari Poe and Gerald McCoy while also bringing in Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to play safety and Maurice Canady at cornerback.

With those moves done, they could look back to the offensive side of the ball now and try to locate a No. 3 wide receiver. And even with the first wave of free agency in the rearview mirror, there are still a few names that could be added — and some could be had for an affordable price which this staff loves.

Here we look at three names that make sense for the Cowboys at wideout.
