2. Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State

Brandon Aiyuk is one of the more versatile receivers in this class. A JUCO transfer, he played just two seasons for the Arizona State Sun Devils, but still made quite the impression — especially after N’Keal Harry turned pro and he became the No. 1 target.

As a junior in 2018, he had 33 receptions for 474 yards and three scores but then increased all his totals as a senior. That year, he had 65 catches for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns. What was most impressive was his 18.3 yard-per-reception average.

Aiyuk was also a solid return man for ASU during his career. He handled both kickoff and punt return duties for the Sun Devils, again with his senior season being the most impressive. In 2019, Aiyuk averaged 31.9 yards per kick return and 16.1 per punt return with one punt brought back to the house.

The Cowboys had Randall Cobb return some punts last season as well as Tavon Austin, who remains a free agent. Aiyuk could bring fresh legs to that role while also being a great receiving option alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup.

He might not be a traditional slot receiver, but Cooper has the ability to move anywhere on the field which opens them up to land a player such as Aiyuk. The only catch is, he’s most likely going to cost them their second-round pick, so they have to be really sure he can be a difference-maker to pull the trigger here.
