Nick Harris. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. C. player. 818. Round 3. Pick 82

Losing Travis Frederick hurt but Dallas does have options. As already mentioned, Connor McGovern and Joe Looney can each play there and that could be the plan. Or, Dallas could add someone in the draft that could fight them for the job.

In this mock, they decide to go with the latter as they take Washington center Nick Harris at No. 82. Considered one of the top center prospects in this class, Harris’ addition could keep the front line strong in Big D. And the good news is, he’s ready to start right away according to Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network who calls him a “plug and play” prospect.

"Nick Harris projects very well as a starting center prospect in the NFL. Harris has the requisite hand strength, lateral quickness and balance in space to frame blocks as a move blocker, effectively reach block and chip/climb. His mobility is well suited for outside zone style rushing but his comfort in chips and combo blocks suggests he’d thrive in inside zone or gap/power rushing concepts as well. An all-around prospect who wins in tight quarters and also on the second level. Plug and play."

No one knows exactly how the staff in Big D feels about McGovern or Looney as the potential starter. Should they feel either one of them is the answer, this pick could change. For now, it seems likely they could pull the trigger, especially with so much unknown with McGovern who missed his rookie season as he was on the IR last year.
