Las Vegas Raiders trade down for defense in 7-round 2020 mock draft
By Randy Gurzi
The Las Vegas Raiders make some moves by dropping down in the first round of this 7-round mock draft, which allows them to overhaul the defense.
Things are up in the air in regards to the 2020 NFL Draft, which was originally supposed to be hosted by the Las Vegas Raiders. It would have been a great way for them to kick off their first season in their new home. The draft has become one of the biggest events in sports and the Raiders have two picks in the first round which could have gotten the crowd pumped up.
Unfortunately, outside factors have changed those plans as COVID-19 is keeping the event from taking place as planned. Keeping it from being a huge event was the right move though as nothing is more important than people’s health and well being.
For now, the draft is still happening, even though it will be different how it takes place. And while we can’t go and see things unfold live, that doesn’t mean we can’t still get excited about the incoming class landing with their new teams. And Raiders fans can continue to get pumped up about their two picks in Round 1, which happen to be the No. 12 and No. 19 overall selections.
However, there’s a chance they might not pick at those spots. With Las Vegas not owning a second-round pick, they could drop down from one of their firsts and get more ammunition. Which is exactly what they do in this 7-round mock.
