Trade Alert: The Raiders traded the No. 81 and 94 (from Green Bay) picks to the Philadelphia Eagles for the No. 53 pick

Las Vegas traded their original second-round pick to the Chicago Bears in the Khalil Mack trade. While they weren’t able to get back into the second with their earlier projected trade, they use the draft stock they earned in a package here that allows them to add a second-rounder.

Using the Packers third as well as one of their own (they entered the draft with three picks in the round), they move up to the 53rd overall spot. With what was originally the Philadelphia Eagles pick, the Raiders land themselves a solid cornerback in Jaylon Johnson from Utah.

Listed at 6-0 and 193 pounds, Johnson has solid size and length to play on the boundaries in the NFL. He’s good at mirroring receivers and has a nose for the ball when trying to break up the pass. His ball skills were also evident by his seven interactions over three years with the Utes.

Cornerback is another position the Raiders can stand to improve and they may have landed a potential star here in Johnson.
