Baltimore Ravens land big target for Lamar Jackson in 7-round 2020 mock draft

One thing the Baltimore Ravens have always had is good safeties. Ed Reed, Eric Weddle and Earl Thomas have all worn the Baltimore uniform and even Deion Sanders once lined up as a safety for the Ravens. Right now, Thomas is their star and Chuck Clark did a good job starting opposite him.
With that being said, the selection of Richie Grant is all about adding depth behind those two. And with Thomas being over 30, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a productive collegiate player to groom.
Grant was a star for UCF but was much more productive in 2018 than in 2019. That year, he had 108 tackles and six interceptions. In 2019, he was able to get 78 tackles and one pick. Still, a solid season but nothing compared to what he did the prior campaign.
Mark Ingram was a great running back last season but is getting long in the tooth. Justice Hill could be the long-term guy, but averaged less than four yards per rush as a rookie. He could still get the ball a lot but the Ravens would be wise to add more help — considering how often they like to run the ball.
With their second pick in the fourth, they add a back by taking Appalachian State’s Darrynton Evans. The junior running back was amazing in 2019, rushing for 1,480 yards and 18 touchdowns. He has a solid combination of size and speed, which makes him a good addition to any team, especially one that likes to beat opponents down on the ground.
