It wasn’t easy, but the Carolina Panthers recently made the difficult decision to move on from Cam Newton after nine seasons with the team, meaning it’s only a matter of time before the former MVP finds a new home for the 2020 season.

Once the Panthers signed Teddy Bridgewater in free agency, it seemed like only a matter of time before the next step came in moving on from Newton, and now that it’s official, the speculation has already started over where the quarterback’s next home could be.

Football fans can say whatever they want about Newton not being worth the risk at this stage in his career after a foot injury limited him to appearing in just two games during the 2019 season, but if he can prove to be at full strength, some team is going to be willing to take a chance.

Instead of looking at all of the struggles surrounding Newton from 2019, the teams still in need of help at quarterback should look at some of the numbers from previous seasons to see the former No. 1 pick still appears to have some gas left in the old tank.
