After acquiring the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have a number of realistic options on which to use the selection.

This has been an underwhelming offseason for the Minnesota Vikings. NFL free agency has been a bummer, they’ve lost more talent than they brought in, and one of their top playmakers was traded away. It’s safe to say the Vikings have taken a step backward in the month of March.

The real shakeup was moving disgruntled wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills for a handful of draft picks, including the No. 22 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. While it’s great that the Vikings now own two Day 1 picks, there’s never any guarantee that those picks work out. Still, we’ll have our fingers crossed the Rick Spielman makes the right decision come April 23.

For the time being, though, all we can do is speculate on what’s to come of Minnesota’s new first-round pick. Hence, we’re here to discuss exactly that.

I’ve put together a list of legitimate options for Vikings. They obviously have a number of glaring needs, and will be looking to address at least two of them on Day 1. Then again, you never can count out a trade up or down with Spielman calling the shots.

Anyway, let’s get down to business. Here’s my take on a few realistic candidates to become the newest Vikings when the franchise is on the clock at No. 22 overall.
