2020 NFL Draft: 5 Best landing spots for D’Andre Swift
By Dan Parzych
5. Las Vegas Raiders
Will a fresh start in a new city help the Las Vegas return to the playoffs?
Two years ago, the Raiders hired Jon Gruden with the hope of the head coach helping the team become relevant in the AFC again, which appeared to be the case at certain times.
But also, part of the main reason behind the hiring of Gruden was due to his previous experience working with quarterbacks, and the idea of him working with Derek Carr provided all sorts of excitement for the fan base.
Entering year three together, things are about to get a little more interesting for the Raiders now that Marcus Mariota is part of the picture to provide Carr with extra competition and another option for Gruden to use under center just in case.
Even more exciting, expectations are rightfully high surrounding Josh Jacobs entering his sophomore NFL campaign after rushing for 1,150 yards as a rookie to go along with seven trips into the end zone in 13 games.
Thanks to Jacobs, the Raiders aren’t in search of a No. 1 running back entering the 2020 season, although they could use another body like Swift to give Jalen Richard some competition.
For all Las Vegas knows, the one-two punch of Jacobs and Swift could help the offense reach new levels.
