South Carolina. Pick Analysis. RB. Rico Dowdle. 6. player. 850. Scouting Report

With their second pick in the sixth (No. 208 overall), Green Bay adds a player to an incredibly talented position by grabbing South Carolina running back Rico Dowdle. During his career with the Gamecocks, Dowdle showed off some impressive running ability, but he also had some issues with his health — missing a lot of time in 2016 and 2017.

From there, he split time as a runner and never had more than 133 rushing attempts in a season — which actually came in his freshman campaign that ended after just nine games.

Still, he rushed for 2,167 yards at an average of 5.1 yards per attempt and was decent in the passing game with 62 catches and three touchdowns. It won’t be easy to crack this lineup considering Green Bay has Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams and Tyler Ervin, but he has the talent to help in a committee.

Utah. Francis Bernard. 6. LB. player. 843. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Back-to-back picks here as the Packers also own the 209th selection. They use that one on Utah linebacker Francis Bernard, adding a little more talent to a position that has been a bit of an issue for them in recent seasons.

A former running back for BYU, Bernard transferred to Utah and had 85 tackles and two picks as a senior. He understands what the opposing offense is doing in the ground game which helps him but he still is a project — however, there’s reason to believe he can be turned into a long-time contributor.
