Now in the final round of the draft, the Packers are on the clock at No. 236 where they add a new interior offensive lineman in Gage Cervenka. A right guard for the Clemson Tigers, Cervenka is a healthy 6-3 and 325 pounds and knows how to use that size to his advantage.

A powerful guard, Cervenka also has experience at center which could help him earn a spot on an NFL roster since versatility is key when filling out the bottom of the depth chart.

While he does look great at times on film, Cervenka only started his final two seasons for the Tigers, meaning he still is a bit raw. However, with good coaching, it wouldn’t be a shock to see him develop into a starter at some point in his career.

Again, Green Bay has multiple picks in a round as they’re back up with the 242nd overall selection in the draft, which they use to add Syracuse safety Evan Foster. With Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage and Chandon Sullivan on the roster, it’s not as if this is a position of need. They also used Josh Jackson, a former second-round pick, at safety after trying him at cornerback.

That means it will be hard for Foster to make the team but seventh-round picks are often used to create competition. As for Foster, he’s an aggressive player that is better in a traditional strong safety role.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see him turn some heads as a special teams gunner due to his willingness to throw his body around, which is how most late-round picks get their chance to stick around and develop.
