BALTIMORE RAVENS. A-. . AFC. North

Had the Ravens not rescinded their offer to Michael Brockers, they would’ve likely gotten an A+ for 2020 NFL free agency. But even after losing out on the defensive tackle and scrambling to then sign Derek Wolfe to replace Michael Pierce, the team that posted a 14-2 record behind Lamar Jackson in an MVP-winning season last year has gotten better and maintained key pieces this offseason.

The trade for Calais Campbell was a coup for Baltimore as they gave up only a fifth-round pick to get him. Franchise tagging Matt Judo was good for the Ravens as well, the same of which can be said for re-signing Jimmy Smith. And trading Hayden Hurst was another big win for this team. It’s rare that the best team in the regular season from a year ago can get better without making many moves but Baltimore has undeniably accomplished that.

B-. . AFC. East. BUFFALO BILLS

Some people have been a bit critical of the Bills for the Stefon Diggs trade as they gave up the No. 22 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to land him. While Diggs has his issues in terms of fitting in the locker room, this team needed to get a viable No. 1 option in the passing offense and were likely to use that draft pick to do so. Now they have that in a proven weapon that can make Josh Allen more effective as a passer if he continues to progress.

Outside of the Diggs trade and re-signing Quinton Spain, however, I’m not huge on the rest of the Bills’ moves in free agency. Mario Addison is a good player but the contract is a bit pricey for my taste. Furthermore, Vernon Butler, E.J. Gaines and Josh Norman don’t move the needle all that much for me. At the end of the day, I love the Diggs trade but am luke-warm on everything else that has transpired in Buffalo.
