Round 6. DT. player. 805. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Pick 187. Benito Jones

Andrew Billings is going to be the one-technique defensive tackle for the Browns this season and after finishing 30th in the NFL in rushing defense last season, he’s going to be a welcome addition. The only problem is, he’s there on just a one-year deal.

This means they’re not guaranteed to have him beyond this season. Cleveland protects themselves with their sixth-round pick by selecting Benito Jones, a player who could eventually take over for Billings should he leave,

Jones is a big defensive lineman who checked in at 6-1 and 316 pounds. He’s good at causing issues for interior offensive linemen due to his power and could serve as a good backup before taking over in the future.

Steven Gonzalez. IOL. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 806. Round 7. Pick 244

With their final pick in this mock draft, Cleveland adds some depth to the interior of their offensive line as they select Penn State’s Steven Gonzalez. Based on the play of their right guards last season, it’s tempting to go for a player at this position earlier, but the team is going to have some options this year.

One of the starters they tried out last season was Wyatt Teller, who should be the favorite this season although he will have competition from Drew Forbes, a rookie from 2019. There are also those who believe Chris Hubbard could shift inside, although he seems a bit too light for that role.

As for Gonzalez, he’s a big body at 6-4 and 341 pounds and can handle power rushers. He won’t be the favorite for a job but for a late-round pick, he does bring a lot of upside.
