19. Darqueze Dennard, CB

Former first-round pick Darqueze Dennard has never truly lived up to that billing throughout his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, which is why the team was content to move on and shake things up with that position group. Make no mistake, Dennard has enjoyed some nice moments in his career but he has failed to produce as a consistent No. 1 cornerback like he was supposed to be when he was drafted.

When you look at a team like the Broncos, however, it’s a situation where Dennard could potentially rejuvenate his career. Not only do they have a strong front seven but Denver also has A.J. Bouye after this offseason and a nice slot corner in Bryce Callahan. That will take pressure off of Dennard to lock down top wide receivers on the opposing team and, ultimately, could help both himself and the Broncos defense.

20. Markus Golden, EDGE

Some people are much higher on Markus Golden than I am, though no one is over the moon for the veteran edge rusher by any stretch of the imagination. He’s never wowed but, overall, he’s had solid production with 29 career sacks in five seasons (10.0 sacks with the Giants last year) and 69 QB hits as well. Thus, a team in dire need of an edge presence could use Golden’s services.

The Jets have endured a perpetual need for effective edge rushers in recent years (and even beyond that). While they are expected to try and address that via the upcoming draft, adding a veteran such as Golden on what should be a reasonably priced deal could help the defense take a step forward and get some semblance of a pass rush.
