9. Jason Peters, OT

That veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters remains unsigned at this point isn’t all that surprising. At 38 years old and with injuries really having him show his age over the past couple of seasons with Philadelphia, teams are understandably a bit hesitant to sign him. But the fact of the matter is that Peters, when on the field, remains one of the most reliable tackles in the league, which is valuable.

Trent Williams remains on the Redskins for right now but that marriage seems destined to end sooner rather than later, either by trade or simply by him getting released. And as Washington is likely to take Chase Young at No. 2 in the draft, they need a blindside protector for Dwayne Haskins, even in a stopgap capacity. For that purpose, Peters could fit beautifully in the nation’s capital.

Where he’ll sign: Washington Redskins

10. Clay Matthews, EDGE

Set to enter his age-34 season in the NFL, Clay Matthews was released by the Rams this offseason and remains on the market. While he’s not been the same player as he once was as a first-round pick out of USC early in his career, Matthews has still been productive. Quietly, he had a nice 2019 season with 8.0 sacks, giving him 91.5 for his quietly impressive career. He can help a team in need of a veteran player on the edge.

Off of their 14-2 regular season but early playoff exit, the Ravens have enjoyed a quietly great offseason by adding Calais Campbell via trade and retaining Matt Judon with the franchise tag, among other moves. However, to improve their defense and rely less on blitzing to create pressure, adding Matthews to bolster the pass rush could be in their best interest.
