Las Vegas could shake up Day 1 with trade

As has already been alluded to, there’s a very good chance Las Vegas decides to shake things up during the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Their duo of bold shot-callers can’t be overlooked as men who are more than willing to climb the draft-day ladder.

Could it be for a quarterback? It’s possible. Gruden is considered a quarterback whisperer of sorts, and tends to fall in love with prospects. Or maybe it’s for a top receiver for Carr to throw to? Either way, it seems the Raiders are among the most likely to pull the trigger on a game-changing trade.

Here’s this quote from an NFL GM, courtesy of Miller on Bleacher Report:

"“I would say it’s unlikely, but you can’t ever rule anything out when it comes to Jon,” one longtime scout who has worked with Gruden before said. “He loves quarterbacks and thinks he can get the best out of all of them. Would it surprise me if he fell in love with Jordan Love or Justin Herbert and made a move to get them? Not one bit.”"

Put in simpler terms: don’t ever count out Gruden.

Anything could happen when April 23 rolls around. All we can do at this point is speculate, but there’s too much smoke to not suspect some sort of fire. Don’t be surprised if the Raiders throw a wrench in the works on Day 1 with a major trade.
