Las Vegas Raiders: 5 Top targets with No. 12 pick in 2020 NFL Draft
By Dan Parzych
If the defense is, in fact, the direction Las Vegas decides to go at No. 12, another name worth keeping an eye on who could bring some extra power to the defensive line is Javon Kinlaw.
Over the years, South Carolina has been fortunate enough to see plenty of their former defenders go on to have stellar careers in the NFL, and Kinlaw would love nothing more than to see his name soon added to that list.
Numbers-wise, Kinlaw doesn’t stand out like some of the other defenders at his position in this year’s draft after recording just 10 sacks in 22 games during his final two years with the Gamecocks, but also this isn’t the only area teams are focused on.
For starters, the upper-body strength Kinlaw possesses is incredible, and one can only imagine how much stronger he’s going to get once the NFL development officially gets underway.
With the Raiders playing in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, defense is going to be their only chance of competing in the AFC West.
Obviously, Las Vegas will need more help on defense on top of Kinlaw or any other defender they decide to add in the upcoming draft, but hopefully the big event helps put them in the right direction to put the team in better shape of helping make this happen.
