Las Vegas Raiders: 5 Top targets with No. 12 pick in 2020 NFL Draft
By Dan Parzych
While Jeudy is certainly a great option to consider for Las Vegas early on in the draft, when it comes to the top wideout from this year’s class, CeeDee Lamb arguably deserves to be on top of the list.
No matter what, the Raiders are going to need to bring on some sort of help at wide receiver during the draft since the pressure is already on for Carr to bounce back in 2020 after struggling to take the necessary steps over the last two seasons under Jon Gruden.
Part of the reason behind the hiring of Gruden two years ago was due to the head coach’s history of quarterback development, and while Carr certainly deserves a good amount of the blame, Las Vegas could have also done a better job providing better weapons in the passing game.
The fact that Lamb improved in each of his three seasons at Oklahoma shows the Raiders and every other team expressing interest in the star wideout should feel confident in the same happening at the NFL level.
Most of the wide receivers from this year’s class seem like they will need some time to develop into a potential No. 1 option once they officially arrive in the NFL, but if Lamb were to join Las Vegas, this scenario could very well happen right away.
