The Detroit Lions will have plenty of options to consider with the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

While it was obviously frustrating to watch the Detroit Lions win just three games last season when taking into consideration they won two of those contests in September, at least the poor results helped them secure a high pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft at No. 3.

After seeing how the last three months of 2019 turned out, the Lions clearly have numerous areas in need of improvement on both sides of the football, whether it involves adding depth to the offensive line or simply bringing on help at cornerback.

Also, the good news for Detroit is with both the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins considering the possibility of selecting a quarterback with the top two picks, this gives the Lions some extra options to consider once on the clock for the first time.

To say Matt Patricia will be feeling the pressure to turn things around in Detroit entering his third year as head coach with the team would be a huge understatement since the former defensive coordinator was expected to make an impact right away with the Lions.

With Detroit coming off a second disappointing season in a row under Patricia, the Lions head coach better realize the importance of using this year’s draft class to their advantage, or he could be out of a job next season if the team continues to struggle.
