The Washington Redskins don’t have a second-round pick but they still manage to land a couple of starters in this 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft

There are some out there who think the Washington Redskins could make like the Arizona Cardinals this year and bail on a young quarterback after just one season. Arizona, who had taken Josh Rosen in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft had the No. 1 overall pick last season and new head coach Kliff Kingsbury had eyes for Kyler Murray.

After publicly saying that Rosen was their guy, the Cardinals did an about-face on draft night and took Murray. They later traded away Rosen, who wound up on the Miami Dolphins.

As for the Redskins, they took a young quarterback last season themselves, landing Dwayne Haskins out of Ohio State with the 15th overall pick. Haskins was impressive for the Buckeyes, but Washington — and the rest of the NFL — understood that he needed time to develop.

Haskins was raw due to limited experience and while his natural talent carried him in college, he needs more to be successful in the NFL. And while the Redskins seemed ready to work with him, there are those who think they could decide to take Tua Tagovailoa with the second overall pick.

So far, that’s mostly speculation but until we hear their selection announced, the rumors will persist. Here, we try and put them to bed as we predict the moves Washington will make in the 2020 NFL Draft with this seven-round mock — and as a spoiler alert, Tua is not their selection.
