2020 NFL Draft: 10 Dream trades fans would love to see in first round
By Dan Parzych
Current Pick: No. 6
Cincinnati appears to be a lock at the moment to select Burrow with the top overall pick as previously mentioned, but what if the Bengals received too good of an offer to turn down?
As much as Cincinnati may want to hang on to the top overall pick, they are also smart enough to know there are numerous teams in desperate need of help at the quarterback position heading into the draft, one of which happens to be the Los Angeles Chargers.
Watching the Chargers take a step back last season after reaching the Divisional Round the year before was frustrating for obvious reasons, but at least Los Angeles made the smart move by parting ways with Philip Rivers.
No one is denying that Rivers provided the Chargers with plenty of great seasons throughout his career, but the veteran clearly took a step back last year and needed a change of scenery.
At this stage in the offseason, Los Angeles seems confident enough in Tyrod Taylor handling the responsibilities as the starter in 2020, but once again this is another team that needs to explore all potential opportunities.
The Chargers are certainly in great position to land a potential quarterback of the future with the No. 6 pick in the first round, but what if they decided Burrow was the new prospect they wanted to build the franchise around?
Convincing the Bengals to agree to a trade would be far from easy, but if the Chargers were to find a way to land Burrow, this team could even find a way to become a contender once again in the AFC with the talent the former LSU star would have to work with on offense.
