Solomon Kindley. G. player. 814. Pick Analysis. Round 4. Pick 120. Scouting Report

New York already addressed their offensive line with the selection of USC left tackle Austin Jackson in the second round but that was far from their only need last season on the line. According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), their highest-rated guard was Brian Winters with a 62.4. They did sign Greg Van-Roten, but he wasn’t much better, earning a 65.6.

Needless to say, they would like there to be some improvement in this area. While they can get by with their current starters, building competition will be key to finding success. This is why their fourth-round pick is used to land Solomon Kindley from Georgia.

Kindley looks the part at 6-3 and 337 pounds and not only held his own in the SEC, but played with a mean streak. His power will be great in keeping powerful tackles away from Sam Darnold while also opening plenty of holes in the running game for Le’Veon Bell.

Pick Analysis. Round 5. LB. player. Scouting Report. Pick 158. David Woodward. 875

They added an outside linebacker earlier in Josh Uche, but now we land an inside linebacker for their 3-4 defense with the selection of Utah State’s David Woodward with the 158th overall pick. Woodward is on the small side for a linebacker as he is 6-2 and 230 pounds, plus he doesn’t have ideal arm-length.

What he does have is incredible instincts and a nose for the football. For the Aggies, he had 252 tackles in three seasons, including 93 in just seven games played this past season. He might not ever be a star in the NFL, but he’s the kind of player who will likely stick around for a long time due to his smarts.
