4. Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Vanderbilt

Since taking over the personnel decisions in 2016, Jon Robinson has shown subtle hints of “love” towards local draft prospects — most notably All-Pro safety Kevin Byard out of Middle Tennessee. Now, four years later, Robinson could decide to select from the state of Tennessee’s collegiate pool of talent again in Vanderbilt running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn.

Vaughn isn’t the threat out of the backfield that the Titans are coveting right now, but has shown some steady improvement in that area over the course of his college career. In his senior season, he caught 28 balls for 270 yards and a touchdown. What makes him an intriguing fit for the team is his fit into the run scheme.

Vaughn comes off to me as a one-cut back who loves to run downhill behind his pads but still has enough speed to make the big play. While he may not be more of a threat in the passing game then Derrick Henry, he can afford the Titans potentially similar production on the ground.

Opposing defenders weren’t worried about getting ran over when Dion Lewis entered the game in 2019, but with the potential addition of Vaughn, defense’s will be in for a long, hard-fought war on the ground all day long.
