The Las Vegas Raiders are often predicted to take a wide receiver at No. 12 but they change that up in this 7-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

For the first time in their history, the Raiders will be playing outside of California. They have never stayed in one place incredibly long as they went from Oakland to Los Angeles and then back to Oakland. But now, they hope to have found their forever home as the only NFL team in Nevada — the Las Vegas Raiders.

Their new stadium should be ready this season and it’s one of the best looking in the game. They were also supposed to host the draft this season but that ended up changing when concerns over the COVID-19 outbreak forced the league to change things up. Now, all teams will be drafting from their homes.

Las Vegas might have an advantage here as they are one of the few teams used to having very minimal input in their draft decisions. Last season, head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock sent their entire scouting department home for the draft and just the two of them conducted everything.

It was unusual but now, it seems to be a benefit. While everything will be virtual and those involved have to stay away from the facility, there won’t be too many lines opened up as just Gruden and Mayock will be needing to communicate during the process.

And after starting to show improvement last season, they hope to take their next step in 2020 and have two picks in the opening round to help them do that. Here, we predict who they end up landing with this seven-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft.
