Las Vegas Raiders switch it up in first round of 7-round 2020 mock draft

With their second pick in the third, the Raiders beef up their offensive line with the selection of Damien Lewis from LSU. Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock have shown in the past that they like targeting schools that are championship-caliber and LSU is coming off an impressive title run.
Lewis wasn’t one of the big-name players during that run but he did plenty of dirty work on the line for the Tigers. The 6-foot-2, 327-pound Lewis was a JUCO transfer who really excels as a run blocker. He should help the Raiders as they continue to run the offense through running back Josh Jacobs.
With their final pick in the third, Las Vegas goes to Utah to snatch up a big nose tackle in Leki Fotu. A massive plug in the middle of the Utes line, Fotu measured 6-5 and weighed in at 330 pounds. He’s abe to eat up blocks but still can make plays due to being more athletic than his size indicates.
Fotu’s talent suggests he should go higher than this but the fact is NFL general managers seem to downplay the importance of nose tackles. There’s logic there as they usually don’t offer much on third-downs but Fotu is a guy who gives you great value here — plus, you need the early-down specialists to get your defense into those coveted third-and-longs.
