It’s time to take a look at another NFL Power Rankings 2020 following a trade involving the Houston Texans acquiring Brandin Cooks from the Los Angeles Rams.

Putting together NFL Power Rankings 2020 in the offseason before the start of the draft may not seem worthy to discuss, but thanks to a surprising trade involving Brandin Cooks, there are some noteworthy changes.

For weeks, there has been plenty of talk surrounding the possibility of the Los Angeles Rams finding a trade partner for Cooks since the speedster was coming off a bit of a disappointing 2019 campaign.

With the Houston Texans in need of some extra help after pulling a surprise trade of their own a few weeks ago by sending DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see Bill O’Brien’s squad jump in on the action to land Cooks.

For obvious reasons, Cooks is nowhere near the same level as Hopkins from a talent perspective, but this should be viewed as a better than nothing situation since the speedster could certainly become a reliable weapon for Deshaun Watson if he manages to stay healthy.

As for the Rams, well let’s just say this is the perfect example of how things can quickly change in the NFL since it was only two years ago in which Los Angeles rewarded Cooks with a hefty five-year extension following a trade from the New England Patriots.

Football fans can say whatever they want about Cooks being part of a trade for the third time in his career, but hopefully if all goes well, things will finally work out for the best in Houston.
