55. . . Previous: 25th. Pittsburgh Steelers. 24. team

Frustrating doesn’t even begin to describe how the end of last season turned out to be for the Pittsburgh Steelers since Mike Tomlin’s team controlled their own destiny for most of December before eventually losing the final three games.

One can only imagine how different the playoffs might have been for the Steelers if they earned the opportunity to extend their season into January, but all that matters moving forward is the team focuses on bouncing back in 2020.

The good news for Pittsburgh is with Ben Roethlisberger expected to be healthy enough to return to his normal ways, the offense will be in much better shape at quarterback after learning the hard way last year that Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges were far from ready.

Over the years, the Steelers are usually one of the teams that always seems to be one of the early favorites in the AFC to make a run at the Super Bowl, and this could be the case again in 2020 if all goes according to plan with Big Ben.

Competing in the AFC North will be far from easy for Pittsburgh after watching how Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens took the league by storm on offense last season, but hopefully the Steelers are ready.

If not, well then it’s safe to say the pressure will be on Tomlin as far as being on the hot seat is concerned since the Steelers head coach sort of dodged a bullet after a poor start last season before turning things around.
