NFL Power Rankings 2020: Texans, Rams shake things up after Brandin Cooks trade
By Dan Parzych
From a defensive perspective, the Miami Dolphins have plenty of reasons to be excited over what the 2020 season will have in store after making a few key additions such as Byron Jones to join Xavien Howard in the secondary.
But when it comes to the offense, this is a bit of a mystery at the moment for the Dolphins, especially at the quarterback position.
Last offseason when Miami acquired Josh Rosen from the Arizona Cardinals, the team seemed to be convinced the former first-round pick was going to be the long-term answer, but this is the perfect example of how quickly a team’s mindset can change.
With the No. 5 pick, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding the Dolphins doing whatever it takes to land a top quarterback from this year’s draft class, whether it happens to be Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert.
Even if Miami decides to select one of these quarterbacks, and keep Rosen around for insurance as a backup for the future, this wouldn’t exactly be the worst idea in the world.
Of course, the only problem the Dolphins could face is if another team decides to trade up ahead of them in the first round to select one of the quarterbacks, so it will be interesting to see how all this plays out.
