The Buffalo Bills traded their first-round pick for Stefon Diggs but still make the moves to win the AFC East in this 7-round 2020 mock draft.

Even before Tom Brady took his talents to Tampa Bay, the Buffalo Bills had to feel like the AFC East was theirs for the taking. Not only did they come close in the 2019 season but the Patriots appeared to be on the decline, Brady or not. But now that TB12 is no longer in the division, Bills general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott must be licking their chops.

The biggest move Buffalo has made this offseason was trading for wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Though it cost the Bills a first-round pick among several late-round picks, it was a sensible decision. Quarterback Josh Allen needs weapons to thrive in this offense and now they have a proven player instead of a rookie needing to learn on the fly.

Outside of that, the Bills have beefed up their defense with veterans and fliers, signing Mario Addison, Josh Norman, Quinton Jefferson and Vernon Butler, among others. Now all eyes are turned to the 2020 NFL Draft and what Buffalo can do to help their cause, even if they don’t make a selection until the No. 54 pick after the Diggs trade.

What’s good news for Buffalo is that the 2020 NFL Draft is a class that’s deep in a number of areas and, frankly, could fall in their favor with where they are picking. Even after the big trade, the Bills have a selection in every round after Day 1, including owning two sixth-round choices as well.

Diggs in tow and with what the young Buffalo Bills showed last offseason, nailing the 2020 draft could put them in the driver’s seat in the AFC East for the upcoming season and likely beyond. And that’s what they accomplish in this mid-April 7-round 2020 mock draft.
