3. Indianapolis Colts logo/uniform tweak

Coming in at No. 3 is the Indianapolis Colts, who feature one of the more historic uniforms in the NFL. There’s not a lot going on with their look, but that’s not a bad thing. They’ve always been a clean style with a simple white and blue color palate. And that won’t change with their updates ahead of 2020.

Indianapolis announced some small changes which included a new secondary logo which is just a “C” that’s designed to look like a horseshoe with the state of Indiana in the middle. They also have seven “grommets” on there which is similar to the original logo the team had.

From there, they also changed the primary wordmark, which again was just a change back to some of their more historic roots. And honoring their past was the primary focus of their new look.

Beyond what they did here, the Colts will also be changing up the numbers on their jerseys. At first, this isn’t easy to see as none of the colors have changed but they have just made the numbers stick out at the ends, again tying it to a horseshoe style.

Indianapolis will also reportedly feature their “Bucking Horse” logo more in the future which is also a nice touch. Again, they did very little but for a team with a solid look, that’s a smart move.
