The Green Bay Packers would love for the 2020 NFL Draft to fall like this. Here’s a seven-round 2020 mock draft that gives a best-case outlook for the Pack.

The 2020 NFL Draft will be one of the most unpredictable drafts in recent memory. For the Green Bay Packers, selecting the right players could be the difference between making the Super Bowl or missing out on the playoffs altogether this coming season. If things go the way we’ve proposed in this 2020 mock draft, Green Bay would be in a great position.

Arguably the biggest need for the Packers is wide receiver. Only one player on the entire team recorded over 500 receiving yards in 2019: Davante Adams. Obviously, Adams is a superstar. But even he can’t do everything himself. The Packers signed Devin Funchess in free agency to complement him, but the team still lacks a speedy wideout capable of stretching the field.

Another big need is offensive tackle. The Packers lost long-time starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga to the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency and replaced him with free agent Ricky Wagner. Wagner figures to be a short-term solution while the team grooms the future starter at right tackle; likely a draft selection.

Finally, inside linebacker and cornerback are two remaining needs. Green Bay lost starting linebacker Blake Martinez to the New York Giants but signed Christian Kirksey. Meanwhile, corner is a sneaky need. Starter Kevin King is a free agent after the 2020 season and Josh Jackson has yet to take a significant step forward in his development.

If the Packers hit on at least five of their 10 draft selections, the team would have taken a huge step in the right direction heading into next season. Green Bay has several key players slated to become free agents in 2021. Securing the right players would be massive for both the present and the future.

If everything falls right, the best-case scenario for the Packers could look similar to this mock draft.
