2020 NFL Mock Draft: Unexpected first-round pick for each team
By Dan Parzych
No matter how hard the Cleveland Browns try to escape the trade rumors surrounding Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason, they just won’t seem to go away.
Since Beckham has only been with the team for one year, and he’s still capable of being a top wide receiver in the league, chances are the star wideout will still be part of the picture for the Browns in 2020.
Not to mention, the pressure is already on for Cleveland to bounce back strong in 2020 after failing to live up to the Super Bowl hype last season, meaning they will need all of the help from Beckham, Jarvis Landry, or anyone else on offense.
With that being said, since the Browns are in great position to land one of the top prospects at wide receiver from this year’s class, could Henry Ruggs III turn out to be a surprise option at No. 9 in the first round?
Ruggs was already considered to be a potential first-round prospect early on this offseason, but his blazing speed displayed at the combine caught the attention of numerous teams looking to upgrade at wideout.
If Baker Mayfield thought having Beckham and Landry to work with on offense was already exciting, just imagine what adding Ruggs to the mix would do for the group.
