Yes, this is the third cornerback taken in this 7-round mock draft. However, the Jaguars are rebuilding the secondary and they need another player on the roster who can help to play all over the field in spot situations. And John Reid is, plain and simple, incredibly versatile.

While he’s not the biggest cornerback, he doesn’t possess any true weaknesses in his game. However, he’s available in Round 6 because he doesn’t have any glaring strengths either. However, he can be a solid player that plays in certain situations and provides depth for the Jacksonville secondary.

L’Jarius Sneed might be raw but he has NFL-caliber athletic traits as he ran a 4.37-second 40 and posted a 41-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-11 broad jump at the NFL Combine. A converted cornerback, Sneed offers a nice amount of versatility to work with in the secondary that they are working to rebuild.

Having a player of Sneed’s ability and physical tools would be great for the Jacksonville defense moving forward. He’s far from a finished product but the right coaching could make him a tremendous asset.

It’s clear that the Jaguars have grown a bit weary of Leonard Fournette, so taking a running back would be valuable for the offense. J.J. Taylor is one of my favorite backs int he 2020 class. He has a bit of Tarik Cohen in his game at 5-5, 185 pounds. However, he’s still a physical player that has the mentality of a much bigger back.

Taylor has nice elusiveness and an impressive jump-cut on occasion to get to the outside. But again, he has no issue running between the tackles. He does lack top-end speed and isn’t totally adept reading coverages, hence why he’s a seventh-round pick. Even still, the Jags could get a solid player in this spot.
