Jeffrey Okudah. 44. 10. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Ohio State

The Pick: I toyed with this selection for so, so long. I believe the Browns really want Andrew Thomas. The fact that the Dolphins just took him only heightens the rumors that Cleveland is looking to trade down and accumulate more selections. No team has been as rumored to trade up as the Falcons have been. I expect them to fly (no pun intended) up the board to fill a hole either in their secondary or on the defensive line.

In this case, that’s arguably the best cornerback in the draft. All it would cost is their 16th overall pick and their second-round pick, per Drafttek’s draft pick value chart. As for Okudah, I’ve been hearing many reports lately that he could fall a bit if Detroit doesn’t take him at No. 3.

Alternative Picks: If Cleveland stays, they could very easily take Mekhi Becton. It’s almost a lock — and I use that term sparingly — when I say that the Browns will take a tackle with their first pick. As I mentioned, Cleveland has been heavily rumored to trade down. This could be a prime spot to come up and snag an offensive tackle or a top wide receiver from the New York Jets, who pick next. I expect this pick to be traded, although I’m less confident about what team will acquire it.

If Atlanta does happen to move up here, I will be playing the lottery the next day. Also, I would imagine the Falcons would consider Okudah, Henderson, Brown or Javon Kinlaw. I wasn’t kidding when I said they need defensive line and secondary. Any other position could be a luxury, like a wide receiver.
