WR. Henry Ruggs III. 15. 45. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. player

The Pick: Finally, an easy pick to make! (Kidding, nothing’s ever easy.) Check out my tweet for more context.

PFN’s Benjamin Allbright has also been all over the Broncos’ desire for a game-changing wide receiver to help sophomore quarterback Drew Lock. Who better than the lightning-fast Henry Ruggs III?

Alternative Picks: The Broncos could go with a Best Player Available approach (BPA), which is pretty self-explanatory. I’m 85% sure they take a wide receiver, but not as sure about where. Denver has been mentioned often as a team who could look to trade up. If they’re really starstruck by a prospect, they’ll need to jump at least the Jets to ensure they can have their choice of receivers.

I’ve seen Kenneth Murray as a possibility here, whom I love, but I don’t think he’s as realistic as a wide receiver is here. Cecil Lammey mentioned Justin Jefferson as a possibility as well.  I wouldn’t be shocked to see Denver and Tampa Bay swap picks.

We’ve seen these type of deals before, and the purpose is so the Broncos can prevent another team from trading with the Buccaneers. It also gives Tampa Bay some compensation for virtually nothing.
