2020 NFL Draft: First-round mock and predictions for all 32 picks
By Zach Cohen
(Pick via Falcons)
The Pick: I may be in the minority with this projection, and I’m fine with it. There’s been some rumors that he could slip more so than some other top prospects, so this doesn’t seem too far-fetched to me. I just had a hard time sliding him to Cleveland. A quick glance at the depth chart made me feel a bit better.
I don’t know how confident they are in Sheldon Richardson and Larry Ogunjobi. Kinlaw’s a better player than both of them though. In the end, the value is what really did it for me here. I think Kinlaw has a better chance of being drafted at 16 than by being drafted by Cleveland, but you never know.
Alternative Picks: I was this close to sliding the one player who Cleveland has been universally linked to: Ezra Cleveland. Ironic, isn’t it? But this seems too high for me. In an ideal scenario, I think new general manager Andrew Berry will look to continue to trade down.
If Atlanta stays, I can see them snatching up K’Lavon Chaisson faster than you can say, “Hideous uniforms.” (I’m coming around on them, by the way.) Atlanta is also very high on C.J. Henderson, and he could be the pick at 10 for them, too. I’m not ruling out Kinlaw for the Falcons, either.
