Scouting Report. Jeremy Chinn. S. player. Pick Analysis. Round 2. Pick 41. 53

After landing their new starting left tackle, the Browns are back on the clock at pick No. 41 in Round 2. With this selection, they land another starting-caliber player as they call on Southern Illinois safety Jeremy Chinn.

The 6-3, 221-pound Chinn is a physical specimen but he’s more than just a big body. He was a top performer for defensive back at many of the drills during the Scouting Combine, including the bench press (20 reps), 40-yard dash (4.45), and vertical leap (41-inches).

His small-school background might be the only reason he’s still available at pick 41 and if that is the case on Friday night, the Browns should waste no time making this selection.

Pick 74. 811. Scouting Report. Round 3. Donovan Peoples-Jones. WR. player. Pick Analysis

Behind Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry, Cleveland doesn’t have much to boast about at wide receiver. Damion Ratley and KhaDarel Hodge have some solid traits but neither is a lock to be the third receiver.

With that being the case, the Browns use their first of two picks in the third-round on Michigan’s Donovan Peoples-Jones. The 6-2, 212-pound Peoples-Jones is a smooth route runner and has ideal size — something the Browns need desperately.

Adding him will help the offense right away in three wide receiver sets and he has the potential to develop into a good starter at the next level down the road.
