Dallas Cowboys defense gets overhauled in final 7-round 2020 mock draft

The Dallas Cowboys address some major needs as they add a lot of talent to their defense in this 2020 7-round NFL Mock Draft
Last year, the Dallas Cowboys had some rather high hopes entering the season. They had a strong offensive roster with quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott (after his holdout), defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence and Amari Cooper as the stars. There were also some solid role players with Michael Gallup, Randall Cobb, and rookie running back Tony Pollard on the roster as well.
Dallas had also finally moved on from offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, who was being bashed for his painfully predictable play-calling. In his place was the young Kellen Moore, known for his sharp football mind which was supposed to bring some much-needed creativity to the play-calling which had gone stagnant in recent seasons.
After a 3-0 start, it seemed as though all was right in Big D and Jason Garrett — who was on the final year of his contract — was going to save his job. Then, the bottom fell out.
The Cowboys were just 5-8 from that point and are now needing to re-tool their roster under new head coach Mike McCarthy. Dallas lost Cobb as well as some defensive stars in Byron Jones and Robert Quinn. They did make a few moves in free agency but there’s still a lot of work to be done, especially when it comes to their defense.
With that goal in mind, we look ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft and predict what Dallas could end up doing with this 7-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft.
