By Dan Parzych
Here some bold predictions for football fans to enjoy in regards to the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
As crazy as it is to believe, the day of the 2020 NFL Draft has officially arrived, and just like every other year, there are plenty of reasons to be excited over what could be taking place Thursday night.
Will the Cincinnati Bengals officially go with Joe Burrow at No. 1 to replace Andy Dalton after the LSU star’s record-breaking season in 2019 that resulted in a National Championship?
Better yet, will the Washington Redskins pull off a surprise of their own by replacing Dwayne Haskins after only one season by going with a quarterback at No. 2, or make the easy decision of selecting Chase Young?
Even with the Detroit Lions currently holding the third overall pick in the draft, there has been plenty of speculation over the team hanging on to the selection for someone like Jeffrey Okudah, or if they could end up trading down.
Since there are numerous teams that would love to trade up in the first round to potentially land a quarterback, if the Lions were willing to trade down, and possibly gain some extra draft picks from, this wouldn’t come as a surprise at all.
Decisions like these ones may seem easy to predict at the moment, but one of the best parts about the draft taking place each year is how there are no guarantees, and the opening round once again has the chance to be filled with all sorts of surprises.
To help football fans prepare for the big event, here are 20 bold predictions to take into consideration for the first round of the draft, whether they seem like long shots to take place or not.
