12. Ruggs gets selected by 49ers

One can only imagine how motivated the San Francisco 49ers are feeling to earn another trip to the Super Bowl after coming up short the way they did in February to the Kansas City Chiefs since they were well in control for most the game.

But on a positive note, at least with all the key players returning for the 2020 season, there is every reason to believe the 49ers will remain one of the top contenders in the NFC once again and should be able to take advantage of having two picks in the first round on Thursday.

Thanks to a previous trade with the Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco obtained an extra pick at No. 13 to go along with their one at No. 31, meaning the 49ers should be able to add another weapon for Jimmy Garoppolo to work with in the passing game at some point.

If the 49ers decide to go with a wideout early on at No. 13, Henry Ruggs III with his blazing speed could be the perfect addition to an already young group of receivers in San Francisco.

Defense received most of the attention last season for the success behind the 49ers, but the offense is going to be just as important for 2020 if this team is going to continue being a top contender.

Ruggs was already considered a top prospect at wide receiver a few months ago, but after an impressive outing at the combine, the Alabama star caught the attention of numerous teams in need of help at wideout.

And if the 49ers were to somehow end up with Ruggs to make the team that much more dangerous, this would almost seem unfair for the rest of the NFC.
