8. Murray gets drafted by Cardinals

A few months ago, the Arizona Cardinals seemed to be the perfect candidate to go with a wide receiver in the first round to provide Kyler Murray with another reliable weapon to work with in the passing game.

And while this could very well still turn out to be the case since this will only make life easier for Murray under center for the long run, the Cardinals did already come up big by acquiring DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans for basically nothing.

Knowing Arizona, since the offense appears to be in much better shape compared to the end of last season, it wouldn’t come as a surprise at all if the team decided to focus on the defensive side of the football in the first round.

Just like every other team, the Cardinals have a few key areas they should focus on right away such as the offensive line or defensive end, but bringing on another linebacker could be beneficial as well.

Over the last couple of weeks, Oklahoma’s Kenneth Murray has seen his name all over the place in mock drafts, and while the linebacker going in the top 10 may be viewed as a risk, this could also pay off in a big way for Arizona.

With all of the excitement surrounding the Cardinals for 2020, the pressure will be on for the team to live up to the expectations, and similar to the situation with Murray, the addition of Murray could help in a big way for the long run.
