5. Tagovailoa gets drafted by Chargers

The good news for Tua Tagovailoa is if the Miami Dolphins decide to pass on him in the first round, it most likely won’t be long before he’s off the board since there are numerous teams looking to upgrade at quarterback early on in the draft.

Moving on from Philip Rivers this offseason was obviously a difficult decision for the Los Angeles Chargers after looking back at all of the great years he put together as a starter, but also the right one when seeing how the veteran took a bit of a step back in 2019.

Time will tell when it comes to determining whether moving forward this season with Tyrod Taylor is the best decision, but even if the Chargers roll with the veteran for the 2020 season, they should still strongly consider a quarterback in the first round on Thursday.

Depending on what the Dolphins end up doing, if Tagovailoa happens to be available at No. 6, chances are Los Angeles would strongly consider the possibility, even if there have been some recent concerns over his injuries.

After watching Tagovailoa light up opponents for 76 touchdown passes in 24 games over his final two seasons with the Crimson Tide, once he gets healthy, there’s going to be all sorts of potential for the quarterback at the NFL level.
