2020 NFL Draft: 20 Bold predictions for first round

3. Raiders trade up for Okudah
When it comes to the top cornerbacks from this year’s draft class, it’s safe to say Jeffrey Okudah ranks at the top of the list following an amazing career at Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have seen plenty of their former cornerbacks quickly go on to have successful careers in the NFL, with Denzel Ward and Marshon Lattimore immediately coming to mind.
In time, it shouldn’t take long for Okudah to see his name added to that elite list of Buckeyes, but which team the star cornerback ends up on Thursday is a different story.
With the Detroit Lions currently sitting in the No. 3 spot for the first spot, one can only imagine the level of excitement Matt Patricia would have if Okudah were to become part of the picture since his defense could use all of the extra help possible.
But also, the Lions also happen to be in great position to explore any potential trade offers thrown in their direction, one of which could be the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders along with a few other teams are fortunate enough to have multiple picks in the first round of this year’s draft, meaning they can afford to trade up for someone like Okudah if the interest is truly there.
To say the pressure is on Las Vegas entering 2020 would be a huge understatement after failing to live up to the hype in each of the previous two years, and while Okudah isn’t going to solve all the issues on defense, this addition at cornerback would still be huge.
