IDL. Javon Kinlaw. player. Pick Analysis. South Carolina. 23. 42. Scouting Report

(Pick via Patriots) San Francisco traded down 10 spots in the first round from the pick they acquired from the Colts in the DeForest Buckner trade. And now, they look to find a replacement for Buckner as they select Javon Kinlaw out of South Carolina with the No. 23 pick, ending another slide for a defensive tackle in this first round.

The 49ers might be the best overall fit for Kinlaw in terms of what he brings. San Francisco is still loaded in the front seven, which means Kinlaw won’t be forced into a role where he’s asked to be a player he’s not. Instead, he can be a disruptive pass-rusher with elite explosiveness on the interior that can help the Niners not lose any pop with what they can do dominating in the trenches.

Kenneth Murray. 24. 15. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. Oklahoma. player

Adding Emmanuel Sanders in free agency is huge for the New Orleans Saints. Finding a wide receiver to complement Michael Thomas and also alleviate some of the attention that can be paid to him by defenses was a huge need that could’ve been addressed at No. 24. But with Sanders, the Saints can now turn their attention elsewhere.

For as good as Demario Davis has been, the Saints need a traditional MIKE linebacker to patrol the middle of the field, which is where Kenneth Murray should thrive. He’s got tremendous speed all over the field and has the athleticism and length, in my opinion, to be a quality coverage player. Adding him could help New Orleans’s defense make a jump to help the Saints contend in 2020.
