2020 NFL Mock Draft, final 7-round prediction: Patriots trade up for QB
The buzz as the 2020 NFL Draft has drawn closer is that Michael Pittman Jr. could sneak into the first round. He doesn’t quite make it there here but the Bengals make him the top pick in Round 2. The USC product may not wow in any one particular area but he can be a high-end wide receiver in the NFL for a decade with all he’s capable of doing well on the field.
(Pick via Colts) Following their trade out of the first round, the Seahawks are finally back on the clock and they address their need on the defensive line. Zack Baun is a versatile player in the front seven with the ability to rush off the edge and also drop back into coverage. I can see Seattle loving that and taking him without a second thought at No. 34.
Marlon Davidson just has all the makings of a player Matt Patricia won’t be able to help himself with. Blessed with the body of a defensive tackle, the Auburn product lined up on the edge in college and showcased great burst off the edge for a player his size. That versatility will allow him to move around in the NFL and the Lions reach a bit but are more than pleased to get him here.
If not for a litany of injury red flags, Terrell Lewis would be a first-round prospect for me. But therein lies the rub as he was banged up for most of his Alabama career. Even still, the Giants have a dire need to add a force on the edge of their front seven and they get one in Lewis, who has the body and athleticism to be an effective pass-rusher right away.
