30. Scouting Report. Georgia. player. Pick Analysis. OT. Andrew Thomas. 11

The Browns trading out of the No. 10 pick is music to the ears of the New York Jets. Yes, this team needs to get weapons for Sam Darnold if the quarterback and the offense are to amount to anything in the near future. But having an upgraded group of wide receivers doesn’t do the Jets any good if Darnold is either on his back or running for his life. The offensive line is their primary need and they address it here.

Andrew Thomas may not have the blue-chip tape Wills does, the elite size Becton does or the unreal athleticism Wirfs does. However, he’s just about as sure of a bet at offensive tackle as you’ll find with great footwork and hands at the position to go with more than enough size, strength and mobility to be a Day 1 starter and a highly effective one at that.

Pick Analysis. CeeDee Lamb. 12. player. Scouting Report. WR. Oklahoma. 28

For better or worse, it appears more and more likely that the Las Vegas Raiders are going to continue with Derek Carr as their starting quarterback. But if this team is going to give Carr a realistic chance at proving that he can be the guy that they move forward with, they have to get him more help at wide receiver by getting a true No. 1-caliber talent at the position.

CeeDee Lamb is the best overall wide receiver prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft class. While the former Sooner may not have the speed of Ruggs or the route-running of a Jerry Jeudy, he has enough long speed and refinement to get open consistently. More than that, he is a lethal threat after the catch with the ability to make guys miss in a phone booth. He can open up the offense in ways that simply weren’t available to Carr in 2019.
