Pick Analysis. QB. player. 47. Scouting Report. Oregon. Justin Herbert. 13

TRADE ALERT: Patriots send No. 23, 87, 195 and 2021 second-rounder to 49ers for No. 13

With the Chargers electing not to address the quarterback position, Justin Herbert falls out of the top 10. And with reports that the San Francisco 49ers, a team that has two first-rounders but no picks after No. 31 until the 150s, want to trade back from both picks, they seem like the ideal spot for a team to deal with in order to move for a quarterback. And no team has a greater need at quarterback outside of the top five picks than the New England Patriots.

Now living in a post-Tom Brady world, the Patriots need a future at quarterback and Jarrett Stidham isn’t it. Herbert could be. With the tutelage of Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels behind a solid offensive line and with the luxury of a great defense supporting him, this would be a great spot for Herbert to come in and have his weaknesses minimized to allow him to thrive and be an adequate successor to Brady.

WR. Alabama. Jerry Jeudy. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 14. 54

TRADE ALERT: Eagles send No. 21, 103 and 190 to Buccaneers for No. 14

Speaking of Brady, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers own the No. 14 pick and need to address the offensive line. However, with the top four offensive tackles having already come off the board, I don’t see them reaching here. But rather than take someone like Javon Kinlaw or another defensive player, I see them trading back with a team like the Philadelphia Eagles who are eager to address their biggest need: wide receiver.

Jerry Jeudy is still available and he’s the no-brainer addition for Philly here. With the future of Alshon Jeffery uncertain, the Alabama star should be able to come into Doug Pederson’s offense and be an elite target for Carson Wentz. He does just about everything well, highlighted by elite route-running and the ability to separate at any level. Jeudy will have an instantly massive impact on the Eagles offense.
