2020 NFL Draft: Grades for all 32 first-round picks
Grade: A
The Cleveland Browns head into the 2020 campaign with plenty of offensive weapons for Baker Mayfield to work with. However, if they had any hope of him shaking off the sophomore slump, they needed to provide him with better protection.
Enter Jedrick Wills Jr., my favorite offensive lineman in the 2020 draft class.
The Crimson Tide’s starting right tackle, it seems likely he’ll move to the left side in Cleveland. Either way, he figures to make an immediate impact as a rookie with the potential to develop into an All-Pro caliber blocker. Seriously, this guy offers that much upside given his power, athleticism and ability to make big blocks down the field.
Bookending the Browns front five with Jack Conklin, Wills may soon be dominating unsuspecting defensive ends in the NFL. As long as he improves as a pass blocker, he’ll easily be an annual Pro Bowl attendee given what we saw during his time at Alabama.
