2020 NFL Draft: 5 Biggest steals on Day 2
By Randy Gurzi
There was a lot of talent still on the board on Day 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft which led to these five players coming in as absolute steals
The first two nights of the 2020 NFL Draft is now in the books as Rounds 1-3 have all taken place. The biggest names came off the board on Thursday night, as is always the case. However, this year saw an unusually high number of highly-ranked players still on the board for the second night of the draft.
With so many talented players still there for the taking, many teams found themselves some steals as the value they acquired was much greater than the draft position used.
Here, we look at the five top steals on Friday night, but have to start out with an honorable mention considering how many players were straight-up stolen on Day 2.
Honorable Mention: J.K. Dobbins, RB, Baltimore Ravens
The rich got richer here. The Baltimore Ravens were the top offense in the NFL last season on the strength of their ground game. According to NFL.com, the Ravens were No. 1 in rushing with 206 yards per game thanks to the 1,206 yards from Lamar Jackson and 1,018 from Mark Ingram.
Now, the team that already was unstoppable on the ground just added one of the best backs in the draft as they took J.K. Dobbins at No. 55 overall. Dobbins was a beast for Ohio State last season, rushing for 2,003 yards and 21 touchdowns.
He’s explosive and durable and can carry the load on his own. In Baltimore, he won’t have to do that which will make him even more dangerous than expected.
