The Dallas Cowboys 2020 draft class had its share of exciting names and massive steals. Here we look back over all seven picks and assign an instant grade

The jokes were running rampant before the 2020 NFL Draft began. With the league being forced to call an audible and have the draft held virtually, social media was running wild with the jokes about Jerry Jones being left home alone to make selections for the Dallas Cowboys.

It didn’t take long to realize Jones was the one laughing. One reason for him to laugh was that he wasn’t home at all. Instead, he was chilling on his quarter-billion-dollar yacht — how many of us can say that.

Not only that, but his Cowboys were absolutely slaying it in the draft. They landed some big names in CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs, but their draft was more than just a flurry of early moves. In fact, they were one of just four teams given an A+ overall grade by Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus following the event.

This is a change from the past couple of seasons where reviews were mixed on what Dallas did in the draft. Last season was a great example as they came out with Trysten Hill and Connor McGovern as their top players and neither made an impact last season.

Of course, they have had their share of successes as well. Back in 2016, they landed several star players which included Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Jaylon Smith, and Anthony Brown (also Maliek Collins who just left for Las Vegas in free agency).

The 2020 class feels much closer to that version that the past one, but of course, we never know how a draft will play out until a few years later, but that won’t stop these early grades — which is exactly what we’re about to do here as we grade all seven picks for the Dallas Cowboys.
